Description

• Assess individuals from pediatric, adult, to geriatric groups using a combination of standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored therapy regimens that respond to immediate challenges while considering broader communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Implement individualized speech therapy techniques concentrating on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functionality.
• Team up with occupational and physical therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and other stakeholders to develop unified care strategies.
• Empower patients and families with education to enhance their progress and understanding beyond the therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain seamless care throughout the patient's rehabilitation process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if the ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire.
