Payroll Specialist This position serves as a key member of a collaborative payroll team, taking ownership of semi-monthly multi-state payroll runs. Based out of Lake Oswego, the Payroll Specialist ensures precision across payroll processing, division reporting, and assisting with tax compliance as needed. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000 $62,400 per year Location: Lake Oswego, OR Hybrid flexible role Perks: Comprehensive health coverage, strong benefits package, and a supportive, collaborative team culture Primary Responsibilities Multi-State Payroll Execution: Manage end-to-end processing of semi-monthly payroll cycles across multiple states for salaried, hourly, and commissioned personnel. Garnishment & Deduction Management: Administer all mandatory deductions, wage attachments, and garnishments, ensuring precise calculations and timely communication. Account Reconciliation & Reporting: Assist with payroll general ledger balancing, generate divisional management reports, and complete formal employment verifications. Taxes & Compliance: Assist with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including establishing new state tax accounts, processing filings, and resolving tax agency inquiries. Employee & Team Support: Act as a responsive point of contact for payroll inquiries while delivering accurate customer service. Qualifications 2 or more years of hands-on payroll processing experience. Experience with multi-state payroll. Proficient in utilizing Human Capital Management (HCM) software. (i.e. ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.) Exceptional numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication.
