Registered Nurse Emergency Room

$2611.20/week –

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides critical nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent health conditions. The role involves stabilizing patients, administering treatments, and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and establish priorities for care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in clinical status.
• Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and facility policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending license accepted (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date).
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, including some pediatrics.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required; candidates can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be willing to work scheduled night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Verify Nursys license and include all relevant certifications with application.
