Non-Certified Biomedical Technician

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Clinical Engineering, the Biomedical Equipment Technician II - Non-Certified is responsible for installations, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance performance testing and minor repairs of medical electronic equipment and systems in assigned areas of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and for Providence Sacred Heart Engineering Service clients. This position operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation. The incumbent analyzes data from inspections, performance tests, periodic maintenance and minor repairs of medical electronic equipment and prepares reports on findings.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics or equivalent education/experience
  • Military equivalent
• 3 years of experience with medical electronic devices at a circuit level

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
