Director Of Developer EventsCloudflare's Developer Platform (Workers, Pages, R2, D1, Durable Objects, AI, and more) is how the next generation of builders ships to the global Internet. Events are one of the most powerful levers we have to reach developers where they are — and to create the moments that turn curiosity into conviction.We're looking for a Director of Developer Events to own the end-to-end events strategy and execution for our Developer Platform. This person will be responsible for the full portfolio: flagship tentpole events, Cloudflare-owned developer experiences, sponsored and partnered events, executive dinners, pop-up activations, and field programs. You'll shape how Cloudflare shows up in real life.We're looking for someone with taste — a point of view on what makes a developer event worth attending, a keen eye for design and experience details, and the creative ambition to build moments that developers actually remember and talk about. You'll partner closely with Developer Relations, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Communications to ensure our events strategy drives real developer acquisition, product adoption, and community growth.Responsibilities include:Own the developer events strategySet the creative barDrive developer acquisition and adoptionBuild and manage the events calendarManage budget at scaleLead cross-functional executionManage vendors and agenciesBuild and lead a teamInnovate the formatDesirable skills, knowledge, and experience include:15+ years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or developer marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams and budgets.Deep experience with developer or technical audiences.Taste and creative vision.Strategic and analytical rigor.Proven ability to manage large budgets ($2M+) with financial discipline and transparency.Cross-functional leadership skills.Experience scaling an events function.Comfort with ambiguity and speed.Background in or strong exposure to product-led growth (PLG) motionsExperience producing hybrid or digital-first event formatsCompensation may be adjusted depending on work location.For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $198,000 - $273,000For NYC based hires: Estimated annual salary of $189,000 - $260,000This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.Cloudflare offers a complete package of benefits and programs to support you and your family.
