As manufacturing capacity expands, they are strengthening the maintenance team responsible for keeping a busy machining operation running.This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who likes diagnosing problems, repairing machinery and figuring out why equipment isn't doing what it should. The environment includes multi-spindle machining equipment and a variety of other industrial production machinery.The work may include:Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial production machinery and controlsDiagnose mechanical and electrical problems using schematics, manuals, testing equipment and input from machine operatorsRepair, replace, disassemble and rebuild machine components and equipmentPerform preventive maintenance and help improve equipment reliabilityWork with industrial wiring, machine controls, transformers and electrical testing equipmentSupport machine rebuilds, installations and equipment movesWeld or fabricate components when needed for repairsWork with outside vendors on difficult equipment problemsDocument repairs, parts usage and maintenance activityHelp operators and other maintenance personnel better understand equipment and recurring problemsExperience maintaining or repairing CNC equipment, multi-spindle/screw machines, machine tools or other complex production machinery is particularly relevant.
