Staffing Coordinator (3-Month Assignment)

Windward Life Care is seeking a temporary Staffing Coordinator (30 hours per week, three-month assignment) to join our team! Responsibilities Matching the skills and availability of our HCAs with client needs Using staffing software to make sure all shifts are filled Managing call‑offs Answering daily communications from and building positive relationships with HCAs and Care Managers Verifying hours worked for payroll While on call: being the first point of contact for HCA concerns, triaging calls to the On Call Care Manager for clinical concerns as needed Traveling to client homes to perform direct client care services/"gap coverage" when required Schedule & Location Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:00pm. On‑call, after‑hours staffing support is also needed on a rotating basis – typically Monday through Thursday after hours, every third week. This position will be on‑site working in our San Diego (Bankers Hill) corporate office. On‑call, after‑hours support will take place remotely. Additional hours may be available as dictated by business needs. This position is temporary, scheduled to start upon hire and end October 16, 2026. Pay $22.50 - $26.50 per hour plus on call stipend Qualifications 1+ years of Staffing/Scheduling experience, preferably in a home care/home health setting, or another high‑volume, fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently to successfully and creatively problem‑solve in a crisis‑oriented environment Ability to remain calm and focused, multitask, and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Ability to be detail‑oriented when dealing with a large volume of incoming information Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism Demonstration of strategic, organizational, analytical, communication, and judgment skills Strong technology proficiency, including use of web‑based office systems such as Google Workspace – experience with ClearCare is a plus Ability to pass Home Care Services Bureau (HCSB) background screen Active driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable vehicle Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. unassisted Flexibility/availability to work additional hours (as dictated by business needs) is a plus Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off Training & Development Windward Life Care believes the contributions of employees with differing backgrounds and lived experiences are essential in creating a thriving workplace.
