Registered Nurse Operating Room

Role: Surgical Nurse providing perioperative care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities Include: Performing scrub functions by selecting and handling surgical instruments and supplies. Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions to ensure comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after procedures. Assisting surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Preparing operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures. Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the appropriate state board. Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire and BLS certification within one month. Preferred minimum of one year of recent operating room experience in an acute care hospital. Knowledge of perioperative standards, sterile technique, and patient safety.
