Job Title: X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist

Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day / Evening Shift | 37.5 Hours/Week
Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Thursday-Friday: 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize patient and staff exposure
• Utilize beam-restrictive devices and patient shielding as required
• Process and evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality
• Document patient care activities and completed examinations accurately
• Maintain patient and department records in compliance with facility standards
• Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
• Monitor and maintain radiology supply inventory levels
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance protocols
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements
• Support departmental and organizational goals through teamwork and collaboration
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience required
• Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required
• Current ARRT Certification required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
• Experience operating radiologic imaging equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
• Dependable with a strong focus on quality patient care
• English proficiency required (read, write, and speak)
