Role Description The Head of Finance (contract, remote) oversees the company’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency. This role manages the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to leadership. The Head of Finance partners with executive and departmental leaders to evaluate financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and support key business decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, guiding financial controls and policies, overseeing financial reporting processes, and identifying risks and opportunities. The role also involves mentoring finance team members, improving financial systems and tools, and supporting strategic initiatives aligned with Grunt Style’s mission and long-term goals.\n
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, including experience leading financial strategy and operations in a growth-oriented organization.

• Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.

• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to analyze trends, evaluate performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
\n
• Hands-on experience with Budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning across multiple departments or business units.
\n
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
\n
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
\n
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is a plus.

• Experience in consumer products, apparel, or e-commerce environments is beneficial, especially in mission-driven or values-based organizations.
