This role manages day-to-day internal communications platforms and supports associate engagement initiatives to create a connected and informed workplace. Working cross-functionally with the company's corporate team, the Internal Communications Specialist supports key initiatives, launches, and events to ensure communications are articulate, consumable, and backed by high-quality deliverables and clear calls to action. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization.Essential Responsibilities:Execute internal communication strategies that drive associate engagement and alignment with company valuesManage internal content calendarCreate and publish written and visual content for internal social platforms, digital signage, and knowledge toolsSupport ongoing system/tool management and help drive adoption and effective use of internal communications platforms across the organizationAssist with management of internal assets, including digital asset libraries, templates, messaging frameworks, and the company storeEvent Support:In conjunction with Communications, Creative, and Associate Experience teams, support execution of communications for associate events, engagement functions, and community impact and partner activitiesAssist with communications and materials supporting business meetings, including kickoff and mid-year meetings, town halls, and associate celebrationsContribute to development of event-related materials such as signage, presentations, and digital promotionsCross-Functional Collaboration:Partner across the corporate team, working with subject matter experts to support communications and deliverables tied to key initiatives, launches, and associate calls to actionDevelop clear, concise communications and materials (e.g., posts, digital signage, desk drops, banners, and mailers) that support business needsPartner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Creative teams to support new associate onboarding and early associate experience communications and touchpointsSupport internal communications during incidents and time-sensitive situations, ensuring timely and accurate messagingMeasurement & Reporting:Track and report on internal communications performance, including platform engagement and content effectivenessSupport development of insights and recommendations to improve communication reach, clarity, and impactQualifications – Education, Work Experience, Certifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field4–6 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related fieldPreferred:Agency experience a plusBasic visual design skills a plusKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsSkilled in storytelling across multiple platforms and channelsProven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional partnersAbility to execute on-time, high-quality deliverables while managing multiple prioritiesComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong organizational skills with attention to detailTeam player with a track record of reliability and follow-throughGrowth mindset and willingness to learn and adaptA deep commitment to Jackson Healthcare's mission and valuesAdaptability:Ability to embrace change and shift focus when unexpected work arises.Time Management:Ability to use discernment to prioritize tasks and decide what to focus on to maximize impact.Customer Service:Ability to actively seek to understand the needs of others and provide a positive experience that addresses their needs, questions, and concerns.Disclosures:Smoking/vaping and the use of tobacco products are prohibited on all Company premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, parking lots, and Company-owned vehicles.As part of our employment process, candidates who receive a conditional offer may be required to undergo pre-employment drug testing.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under the law.
