Patient Access Clerk

Patient Registration SpecialistResponsible for facilitating patient registration, including identification, demographic collection, financial verification, and compliance documentation. Handles co-pay collection, cash reconciliation, and emergency patient arrivals while coordinating with departments for smooth patient flow. Manages incoming calls, appointment scheduling, and ensures excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.What We Are Looking ForMinimum:High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or certification in a healthcare-related field is highly preferred.Minimum of one year of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.Proficiency in computer use required; experience with electronic health records is preferred.Preferred:Experience using Excellian.General medical terminology.Insurance verification and/or patients registration experience.What We OfferAt Riverwood Healthcare, treating our patients well starts with treating our employees well.
