1st Shift Biobank Technician I

Azenta seeks a full-time 1st Shift Biobank Technician I to register, label, retrieve, and manage biological samples across temperature-controlled storage units while maintaining regulatory compliance and chain of custody documentation.

Responsibilities

• Register, scan, and quality-check biological samples into inventory management system per SOPs
• Label and store materials at required temperatures (+30°C to -196°C) in designated units
• Retrieve, package, and perform quality control checks on materials for lab services and shipments
• Maintain chain of custody, audit trails, and location management reports using company systems
• Investigate and document registration or retrieval issues; assist with facility upkeep

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, and attention to detail
• Life sciences experience preferred
• GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Excel proficiency with basic and intermediate functions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with refrigerants using proper PPE

Compensation: $21.00 base
