Working closely with executive leadership, you will combinetechnical expertise with business development, operational management andpeople leadership. You will guide team performance, strengthen clientrelationships and help shape the organisation’s continued growth. Office leadership & operational performance Leadday-to-day office operations and translate company strategy into practicalplans andpriorities. Overseeproject delivery against agreed schedules, budgets and quality standards. Managestaffing, workload planning, resource allocation and team utilisation. Monitorrevenue, profitability, project backlog and client satisfaction, identifyingopportunities to improve performance. Contributeto annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting and growth initiatives. Team leadership & development Lead,mentor and develop engineers, planners, project managers and support staff. Createa collaborative working environment with clear expectations, accountability andregularfeedback. Supportrecruitment, onboarding, performance management and succession planning. Encourageprofessional development, employee engagement and career progression. Buildand maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as aseniorrepresentative and trusted adviser. Identifyopportunities for new projects, additional services and expansion into newmarkets. Leadand support client meetings, networking, presentations and participation inindustryactivities. Contributeto proposal development, pursuit strategies and contract negotiations. Work with senior leadership to deliver regionalrevenue and growth objectives. Technical leadership & project oversight Provide technical direction acrosstransportation planning, engineering and infrastructure projects. Review and approve technical deliverables,design concepts, reports and project documentation, as appropriate. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations,standards and client requirements. Help teams resolve complex technical challengesand project issues. Maintain active professional credentials andparticipation in the industry. Collaboration & organisational growth Work with finance, operations, marketing andpeople teams to support business objectives. Support acquisition integration and otherorganisational growth initiatives when required. Encourage collaboration and the sharing ofresources across offices and service areas. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, UrbanPlanning, Transportation Planning or a related discipline. Active Professional Engineer (PE) licence orAmerican Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification. Typically 10–15+ years of progressive industryexperience, including at least five years inleadership, management or businessdevelopment. A demonstrated record of managing teams,operations and client relationships. Proven ability to win projects, develop clientsand contribute to business growth. Strong commercial and financial understanding,including project delivery, budgeting and profitability. Experience in an engineering, planning,transportation or professional services consultancy is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonuseligibility.
