Key Qualifications: Masters or specialist degree from a program in school psychology Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain) Experience administering and interpreting educational, behavioral, and cognitive assessments Skilled in collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families for comprehensive student planning Strong communication, consultation, and documentation abilities Knowledge of current special education laws and evidence-based intervention strategies Primary Responsibilities: Conduct formal psychological evaluations to assess learning, behavior, and mental health needs Consult with educators, parents, and other professionals regarding interventions and strategies Develop, contribute to, and help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and skill-building to students Facilitate or participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate by advocating for students well-being Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations Enjoy the benefits of a Monday through Friday schedule, working in a collaborative setting in a vibrant community near Chicago.
