Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as an Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite position is based near Granville, OH, and focuses on making a meaningful impact within two high school co-taught settings. As a valued member of the special education team, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping students reach their full potential by providing tailored academic interventions and collaborating with general educators.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (OH IS) required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist, preferably in high school settings
- Deep understanding of diverse learning needs and effective instructional strategies
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Must be willing and able to work onsite daily throughout the contract period
- Demonstrated ability to track progress and adjust teaching plans accordingly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Co-teach with general educators to support inclusive instruction for students with disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Modify curriculum to align with students’ unique learning goals
- Provide academic, social, and behavioral support
- Regularly assess student progress and communicate outcomes with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of special education services
- Cultivate a classroom culture that promotes student confidence and achievement
This is a full-time commitment (32.5 hours each week) from August 17, 2026, to May 28, 2027, aligning with the school calendar.
