Registered Nurse, Cardiology Arrhythmia Center, 30 Hours (Days)

Position Summary The Arrhythmia Center RN supports outpatient cardiology and remote cardiac monitoring services within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on monitoring patients with cardiac implantable devices, reviewing cardiac telemetry, communicating clinically significant findings, and coordinating patient care through phone and electronic communication. The RN is responsible for nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care, ensuring compliance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulations and agency policies. Essential Responsibilities / Duties Monitor patients with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and implantable loop recorders. Interpret cardiac telemetry and communicate significant arrhythmia findings to providers in a timely manner. Support patient compliance by managing device advisories and disconnected monitors. Assist with Holter monitor application and provide patient education. Manage Epic EMR in-basket, medication refill coordination, telephone triage, patient documentation, and completion of clinical forms. Collaborate with providers and support staff to enhance clinical operations and patient care quality. Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families. Job Requirements Education: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current RN licensure in Massachusetts in good standing; basic life support (BLS) certification required. Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) may be required for certain units. Experience: Preferred experience in cardiology EP lab/Arrhythmia Center. Knowledge and Skills: Computer proficiency, including access to and interpretation of electronic data. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with team members, patients, and families. Organizational skills to prioritize and complete assigned work efficiently. Multilingual skills beyond English preferred. Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement projects. Capability to delegate patient care activities appropriately. Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities. Stress management skills related to patient care and organizational changes.
