Associate Attorney

Our client, a rapidly growing personal injury law practice, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney to work closely with an experienced partner, gain hands-on litigation and trial experience, and contribute to an active caseload involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability matters. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury matters, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage litigation responsibilities while collaborating closely with senior attorneys.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all phases of personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare substantive motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend and conduct depositions, argue motions in court, and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Support case strategy and litigation planning under the guidance of an experienced partner.

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of experience handling personal injury matters (plaintiff or defense experience considered).
• Active admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience drafting discovery responses and substantive motions.
• Experience taking depositions.
• Trial preparation or courtroom experience.

Additional Requirements:


Ability to commute to and from Bergen County.

Ability to travel to courthouses throughout the North Jersey area.
