Machinist

Essential Duties Perform machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, and threading on rotating equipment components such as pumps, turbines, and compressors Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to produce quality parts Maintain and verify tight tolerances in accordance with specifications and industry standards Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators Set up and operate machining equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards Operate small lifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Complete assigned tasks while maintaining high attention to detail and organization Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production and quality Maintain proper care, calibration, and use of tools and measuring devices Follow all safety directives, company policies, and customer requirements Requirements/Skills Minimum of 5+ years of machinist experience required Strong knowledge of machining practices including turning, milling, drilling, and threading Ability to read and interpret blueprints and G-code Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Strong mathematical skills for calculating tolerances and dimensions Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must supply basic machinist tools Job shop experience preferred Willingness to work a full‑time schedule with potential overtime, evenings, and weekends Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance Capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to use hands for tool operation and assembly work Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to metals such as aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel Ability to operate machinery and material handling equipment safely Must be able to comply with drug screenings, background checks, and safety requirements Equal Opportunity Statement Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
