Project Executive

Overview Therma, a Legence company, has redefined mechanical construction landscapes in California for over 50 years. With more than 1,100 employees across three regional offices, we deliver innovative, facility‑specific solutions in industries such as biopharmaceutical, education, healthcare, and data centers. Location: San Jose, CA. This position is full‑time and onsite; a remote option is unavailable. Role Summary Therma is looking for a Project Executive who will drive successful projects from sales through completion. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and lead cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities Coordinate and lead staff from all departments throughout the project lifecycle. Execute all sales functions, including creating estimates and proposals, reviewing contracts, conducting meetings, and finalizing sales. Supervise Therma business activity from sales inception to job completion. Prepare budget projections, control costs, and provide communications such as memos, contracts, and change orders. Represent the company professionally and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners. Attend all Therma Project Management, Sales, and Construction meetings; schedule and coordinate pre‑construction job meetings. Directly supervise Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, Job Supervisory Personnel, and others. Manage project risks and identify potential issues. Ensure all project work complies with relevant standards. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in estimating, design, and management of HVAC projects ranging from $50,000 to $25+ million. Ability to operate independently with autonomous judgment and consult with others as needed. Experience developing new business successfully. Demonstrated multitasking ability. Strong interpersonal and project management skills, excellent organizational abilities to handle a high volume of issues. BS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required. Current licensed PE preferred, but not required. Salary & Benefits Salary: $215,000 – $235,000, depending on experience. 401(k) Plan with company match up to 4% of eligible pay; immediate vesting.
