The Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Estimator to join our team. The Landscape Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing competitive bids for landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Civil landscape techniques, materials, and pricing, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess project scope, site conditions, and potential challenges.
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, subcontractor costs, and overhead expenses.
• Research and source materials, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure profitable projects.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth transition from estimating to project execution.
• Occasional business development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, horticulture, construction management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a landscape estimator or similar role in the landscaping or civil construction industry. Experience estimating some of the following scopes:
• Landscape and Irrigation
• Shelters and Site Amenities
• Playground Equipment
• Play surfaces
• Hardscapes-pavers
• Concrete flatwork
• Earthwork
• Electrical
• Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools, knowledge in Bid2Win, Bluebeam and Planswift is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
