You willown a defined geographic territory end-to-end — from demand generation and agency outreachthrough product demos, proposal, and close. You will be the face of Abel in your region, buildingdeep relationships with police chiefs, sheriffs, and command staff while solving one of lawenforcement's most persistent operational problems.WHAT YOU'LL DO• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, product demos, proposals, negotiation, andclose• Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, law enforcement referrals, conferenceattendance, and regional agency relationships• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets• Build trusted relationships with decision-makers — chiefs, sheriffs, undersheriffs, commandstaff, and administrative leadership• Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations that connect Abel's capabilities toeach agency's specific operational challenges• Maintain accurate pipeline data and CRM hygiene; provide reliable forecasts to yourleadership team• Represent Abel at regional law enforcement conferences, trade shows, and associationevents• Serve as the voice of the customer internally — surface agency feedback to product andleadership teamsYOUR FIRST 90 DAYSAbel is a results-oriented culture. Here's what to expect:Days 1–30: Learn• Complete Abel product and platform certification — become an expert in Writer, Chat, andCitizen products.• Study your territory: map existing customers, understand the agency landscape, and identifypriority targets• Shadow VP of Growth on discovery calls and live demos; learn the Abel pitch and objectionplaybook• Begin active outbound prospecting via calls, emails, conference follow-ups, and LE referralsDays 31–60: Build• Conduct your first independent product demos• Build 16+ qualified opportunities in the CRM pipeline• Set up weekly 1:1s with the VP of Growth and join bi-weekly cross-functional syncsDays 61–90: Close• Close your first deal• Establish a repeatable outbound motion tailored to your territory's dynamics• Build relationships with regional law enforcement associations and key referral sources• Present a 6-month territory plan and pipeline outlook to the VP of Growth and CEOWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR• 3–7 years of full-cycle, outside/field sales experience; public safety, government, or SaaStechnology sales strongly preferred• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota within a defined territory• Self-starter mentality — you take initiative, stay organized, and produce results with minimalhand-holding• Prior experience selling to law enforcement, municipal government, or mission-critical verticalsis a significant advantage• Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident and credible in front ofcommand-staff audiences• Comfortable building the playbook in a startup environment — adaptable, resourceful, andgrowth-oriented• CRM proficiency (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred) with strong pipeline hygiene• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory during peak seasons• Must reside within the assigned territoryCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSAbel compensates its team competitively.
