This is an opportunity to help build one of the most recognized brands in skilled trades education. The Opportunity This isn't a typical social media job. You'll be responsible for capturing the story of Tradecraft every day—from students learning new skills to instructors teaching in our labs to campus events and employer partnerships. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Marketing Designer, who will transform your videos and photography into high‑impact marketing campaigns, website content, digital advertising, admissions materials, and other creative assets. Together, you'll serve as Tradecraft's in‑house creative team. What You'll Do Capture Great Stories Film students, instructors, and campus life Capture behind‑story moments Record student testimonials Photograph classes, labs, and special events Highlight employer visits and community partnerships Create Engaging Content Produce Instagram Reels Create TikToks Edit YouTube Shorts Create Facebook and LinkedIn content Stay on top of social media trends Build Our Social Presence Schedule and publish content Write captions Engage with our audience Help grow our social channels Turn one day of filming into multiple pieces of content Collaborate With Our Marketing Designer You'll partner closely with our Marketing Designer to ensure every photo and video supports our broader marketing efforts. Your content will help power: Website updates Landing pages Digital advertising Admissions brochures Email campaigns Sales presentations Employer partnership materials We're Looking For Someone Who Loves storytelling through video Has an eye for great photography and composition Enjoys creating content people actually want to watch Is comfortable filming in fast‑paced environments Can edit short‑form videos quickly Is organized, reliable, and self‑motivated Enjoys collaborating with designers and marketers Whether you're a college student, recent graduate, or self‑taught creator, we're much more interested in your portfolio than your résumé. Preferred Experience CapCut Adobe Premiere Pro Canva Instagram TikTok YouTube Shorts Photography DJI Osmo or gimbal experience What Success Looks Like Within your first six months, you will have: Built a consistent stream of engaging content across all social platforms. Created a library of high‑quality photos and videos showcasing Tradecraft. Helped grow our audience and brand awareness. Worked closely with our Marketing Designer to create marketing campaigns that drive student enrollment. Compensation $22–30/hour , depending on experience. Flexible schedule (15–25 hours per week).
