Staff Accountant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepares and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing financial data and account informationComplete month-end close duties including preparation of journal entries, , accruals, intercompany reconciliations, reconciliation of multiple cash accountsMaintains and reconcile general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepanciesPrepare revenue and expense variance reporting, analysis and explanationPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.Assist with annual and quarterly forecasts and budgeting processes as neededAssist with periodic and year-end audit requestsOther duties deemed necessary by managementPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functionsAbility to lift up to15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping dutiesVision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computerKeyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuriesENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:Indoor office/home environmentQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,2-4 years Accounting experience requiredIntermediate software skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word including V, H Lookups, Pivot Tables, If Then Statements, Concatenate and Graphic capabilitiesGood organizational skills with attention to detailMust be able to work well with others both within and without our departmentStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.Ability to maintain a valid drives license and abide by our Corporate Fleet PolicyDisclaimerThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
