Step into an impactful contract role serving multiple elementary schools, providing essential occupational therapy assistance during a maternity leave period. This opportunity spans from mid-February through mid-May of 2027, with a full-time schedule, allowing you to support students’ growth and learning in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid COTA license from South Carolina is required
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside a supervising OT
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload that includes treating 9-10 students daily in 30-minute individual sessions
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with one of the district's experienced Occupational Therapists across several elementary campuses
- Deliver direct, individualized interventions tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Document daily therapy sessions and progress
- Travel between assigned school locations, ensuring each student receives quality, consistent care
- Engage in regular communication with teachers and other support staff to maximize student development
- Maintain compliance with district and state record-keeping
- Adapt therapy plans as student needs evolve throughout your assignment
