SEO Specialist - AI Legal Tech Startup

Zlayt AI is a litigation automation platform built exclusively for personal injury law. From demand letters and deposition summaries to discovery responses and case analysis, Zlayt equips law firms with intelligent tools that draft faster, think strategically, and deliver results without friction, setup, or compromise.

We're an early-stage, product-led company building the category-defining go-to-market motion for legal AI in a large, underserved niche. This is a rare opportunity to build the commercial engine — strategy, sales, marketing, and customer success — from the ground up, working directly with the founding team.

Role Summary
We need an SEO Specialist to grow our organic traffic, leads, and demo requests. You will own our SEO plan from start to finish. This includes technical SEO, content strategy, and link building. You will work with Product, Sales, and Design.

What You Will Do
• Make and keep an SEO plan that supports our revenue goals.
• Do keyword research for legal technology, practice management, and AI topics.
• Find and fix technical SEO problems. Examples: site speed, crawl errors, indexation, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
• Write content briefs. Review articles, landing pages, and comparison pages before they go live.
• Optimize existing pages to improve rankings and conversions.
• Build backlinks with ethical outreach, partnerships, and digital PR.
• Optimize for AI search results and answer engines, such as AI Overviews and chat-based search.
• Track keyword rankings, traffic, leads, and conversions. Report results each month.
• Study competitors. Find gaps in content and search results.
• Work with developers to put SEO changes into the site.

What You Bring
• 3 or more years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably at a B2B SaaS company.
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and content SEO.
• Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience with an SEO tool such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog.
• Proof of past results, such as growth in organic traffic or leads.
• Clear written communication. You can write simple, accurate briefs and reports.
• Ability to work alone and meet deadlines in a remote team.

Nice to Haves
• Experience in legal tech, legal marketing, or other regulated fields.
• Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript SEO issues.
• Experience with a CMS such as WordPress or Webflow.
• Experience with CRM and attribution tools, such as HubSpot.
• Experience with local SEO or programmatic SEO.
