Accounting Clerk

Overview Accounting Clerk at Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown. The role focuses on accurate financial processing and supporting daily revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Accurate & timely recording of daily outlet revenues and posting sales totals in financial reports with organized supporting documentation. Input daily revenue figures into financial reports and maintain documentation. Complete chargeback requests and track disputes; notify outlets when discrepancies arise. Distribute daily reports promptly and ensure proper filing. Compare purchase orders to invoices and enter them into the AP system after management approval. Prepare daily cash and check deposits and record on the tracking report for reconciliation. Ensure AP supporting documentation is accurate; prepare and send AR invoices for approval. Review purchase orders against invoices for accuracy and enter approved invoices into accounts payable; commence payroll and prepare payroll reports. Notify leaders when discrepancies arise and maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll information. Perform month-end close tasks as assigned, including data entry, supporting documentation, and account reconciliations under supervision. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or hotel finance experience preferred. Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue reconciliation, and payroll support. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with hotel property management systems, accounting software, and payroll systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members, vendors, and leadership. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
