Advanced PCU RN Opportunity for Cardiac Care Enthusiasts!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team as a PCU RN specializing in Open Heart Progressive Care!
- Location: Night shifts 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with options for 4x12 NIGHTS.
- Engage with a diverse patient population in a 29-bed unit focused on:
- Post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
- Close monitoring of patients requiring cardiac oversight.
- Accepting Med/Surg Overflow as needed.


- Highlights of the Role:
- Weekday shifts with every other weekend commitment.
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Thursdays.
- Experience requirements: Minimum 2 years in a similar setting.
- Work within a supportive environment with a patient ratio of 4:1.

- Must-Have Skills and Certifications:
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Proficient in chest tube management and removal.
- Experience with central lines and pacemakers, both internal/external.
- Comfortable with wound vacs and critical drip experience.

- Additional Information:
- Float and accommodate facility needs within your scope.
- 36 or 48-hour contract options available!
- No more than 1 holiday off request among the major holidays.
- Free parking for travelers and a casual dress code with scrub colors of Royal Blue/White.

- Facility Overview:
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with a total of 838 staffed beds.
- Well-equipped with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

- Submission Requirements:
- Submit full file by Noon Monday prior to your start date to avoid delays.
- Include SSN, DOB, RTO, and references with your application.
- Candidates must hold a valid WV RN license or Compact License.
