This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a flexible part-time schedule while utilizing their experience in general ledger accounting, fixed assets, depreciation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Part-Time Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with fixed assets and general ledger accounts. Why Apply? $28.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience Part-time schedule Approximately 20 hours per week Flexible scheduling Stable, established organization Professional work environment Opportunity to utilize your accounting experience in a valued part-time role Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate fixed asset records and supporting schedules Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures Support financial reporting and account analysis Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records Assist the accounting team with additional financial and general ledger duties as needed Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience preferred Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation Working knowledge of general ledger accounting Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations Understanding of month-end and year-end close processes #1044SRG Express Office: Springfield 3000 Professional Drive Springfield, IL 62703 #J-18808-Ljbffr
