This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll or accounting professional to join a collaborative finance team and play an important role in accurate payroll processing, payroll accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle payroll processing while also supporting general accounting functions, account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, audits, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential employee and payroll information. Compensation and Benefits: $55,000-$60,000 annual salary 15% employer retirement contribution Comprehensive health insurance 4 weeks of paid time off Supportive and collaborative work environment Stable, established organization Payroll Accountant Responsibilities: Process full-cycle payroll accurately and timely for employees Review payroll information for accuracy before processing Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, benefits, and payroll allocations Calculate and process payroll deductions and benefit contributions Ensure payroll processing complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger Assist with month-end and year-end accounting close procedures Support payroll, benefits, and financial audits Prepare payroll-related reports and documentation Work closely with Human Resources and the Finance team to maintain accurate employee and payroll data Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Payroll Accountant Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ years of payroll, payroll accounting, or accounting experience Experience with full-cycle payroll processing preferred Working knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel Understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and compliance requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Why Apply?
