Production Assistant – Full-Time Growth Opportunity into Production Management Revive Your Lawn & Trimlight Chicago is looking for a motivated, organized, hands-on Production Assistant to support our growing production team. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to grow into a Production Management/Assistant Manager role. We are looking for someone who can learn our operation, take ownership of responsibilities, solve problems, and eventually help manage crews, jobs, inventory, and day-to-day production. Position Overview The Production Assistant works closely with our production management team to make sure crews are prepared, jobs are organized, materials are available, and projects are ready to move forward. This is not strictly an office position. The right person should be comfortable working in the office, warehouse/yard, and occasionally on job sites. Responsibilities - Help organize and prepare upcoming jobs for production. - Review upcoming work and make sure crews have the information, materials, tools, and equipment needed. - Prepare crews for the workday and help keep morning dispatch organized. - Pull, stage, load, and organize materials for upcoming projects. - Manage and maintain inventory of commonly used materials, tools, and supplies. - Identify materials that need to be ordered before they become a production problem. - Help maintain an organized warehouse, yard, trucks, trailers, and equipment. - Assist with scheduling and coordinating crews and projects. - Communicate job information and changes to production crews. - Help prepare job packets, plans, material lists, and other information crews need. - Visit upcoming job sites when necessary to verify site conditions and prepare for production. - Help identify access issues, material requirements, equipment needs, and other potential problems before a crew arrives. - Assist production management with job-site issues and problem solving. - Help track project progress and communicate delays or issues. - Assist with quality control and completion of projects. - Provide general support wherever needed to keep the production department running efficiently. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: - Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. - Dependable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. - Able to communicate well with managers, crews, vendors, and customers. - Mechanically inclined and comfortable around construction tools and equipment. - Able to think ahead and anticipate what crews will need. - Comfortable using computers, phones, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and other business technology. - Willing to work both indoors and outdoors. - Able to lift and move construction materials when necessary. - A problem solver who doesn't need to be told every small thing that needs to be done. - Interested in learning the business and advancing into management. Construction, landscaping, drainage, hardscape, lighting, warehouse, logistics, or production experience is helpful, but attitude, organization, reliability, and the ability to learn are extremely important.
