Bookkeeper

Location: East Orlando, FL Pay Rate: $23/hour Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–3:30 PM (30 hours per week) Duration: Temporary assignment through November with potential for extension Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations for a growing organization in East Orlando. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with tax-related documentation, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping activities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation Assist with tax return preparation and related documentation Enter and maintain accounting data within Sage and other accounting systems Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and policies Support additional accounting and administrative functions as needed Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience with tax returns and general accounting functions Sage experience preferred; ability to learn new accounting software required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and time management skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or completion of at least two years of accounting coursework Benefits Consistent part-time schedule Opportunity for assignment extension Collaborative work environment Immediate start available Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
