Warehouse Shipping/Receiving SpecialistJoin a leading electropolishing company as a Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in handling large pipes, steel drums, and pallets of metal parts. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory, and ensuring the warehouse remains tidy. Utilize a sit-down propane forklift to move inventory efficiently and assist with manual handling when necessary. You will also post receipts in the ERP system, manage inventory transfers, and handle shipping and receiving duties.Responsibilities include:Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move large pipes and metal parts.Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.Maintain and manage inventory using ERP systems.Ensure the warehouse remains organized and clean during downtime.Assist with manual movement of parts as needed.Post receipts and manage inventory transfers in the ERP system.Control shipping and receiving processes.Essential skills include:Bilingual proficiency is required.3+ years of warehouse experience.Experience in moving large pipes and metal parts.Proficiency in unloading and loading large trucks.Experience in forklift operation, especially sit-down forklifts.Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes.Familiarity with inventory, production, assembly, and material handling.Additional skills and qualifications include:Experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work long hours.High initiative and a team player attitude.Why work here?Work in a family-owned company that values its employees, promoting from within and offering great benefits. Join a team of around 50 employees, with plans to expand the warehouse team. Our dress code includes covered shoes, work shirts, and jeans. Work shirts are provided, but hats and jewelry are not permitted. The position is for the day shift, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with optional Saturday overtime typically from 6:00 am to noon.Job type and location:This is a contract to hire position based out of Houston, TX.Pay and benefits:The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
