This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional states.

• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that are responsive to clients' specific needs, considering their unique backgrounds and challenges.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying various therapeutic techniques to enhance engagement and foster therapeutic progress.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress against established treatment goals and adjust plans as necessary to ensure effective care.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies for complex cases.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our electronic health record system, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• Identify and address any behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing support and guidance to clients and their families.
\n
• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, promoting healthy communication and effective coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on adults and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. You will engage with clients who may have complex needs, requiring sensitivity, patience, and strategic thinking to effectively support their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of licensure examinations such as the NCE and/or the NCMHCE.
\n
• Prior experience in a counseling or therapy role, demonstrating a strong track record of successful client outcomes.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in managing clients with co-occurring disorders, including mental health disorders coupled with substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the practices promoted by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications commonly prescribed and their effects on mental health.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and effective treatment notes and reports.
\n
• Exemplary interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
