Data Center Logistics Technician, DCC Communities

Overview AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. As a Site Logistics Technician, you will work with engineers, operations managers, and vendors to maintain inventory, optimize parts flow, and support build and repair activities across all data center locations. Key Responsibilities Review data center inventory and inbound shipments to maintain proper stock levels. Develop plans to optimize the flow of parts throughout their lifecycle, tracking location, movement, age, and turns. Cooperate with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. Purchase new parts and interface with procurement and vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Communicate regularly with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements. Perform daily loading dock audits, receive and stow part deliveries, ingest parts into a system of record. Prioritize work using ticket requests, stage and perform parts transfers, and maintain RMA-eligible material. Provide consistent customer service and communication as needed. Maintain safety and security culture by following all policies and best practices. Shift and Physical Requirements Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods. Assist in loading and unloading shipments. Occasionally exposed to cold or hot weather; temperatures may vary between 60 and 90°F and occasionally exceed 90°F. Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts. Lift loads up to 39 pounds and carry them for short distances. Climb and descend stairs safely (where applicable). Walk, stand, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. Push or pull heavy objects into position. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of logistics or other relevant experience. 1+ year of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems. Proficiency with warehouse management software or inventory management software. Familiarity with waybills and shipping procedures with transport companies. Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordinate with a manager. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
