Accounting Manager

The company delivers software-enabled solutions including online auctions, access control systems, full-service kiosks, and call center services to self-storage operators across North America, with a growing international presence.Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, OpenTech supports many of the largest self-storage operators in the U.S. and continues to scale its core products while strengthening internal operations to support growth.About the RoleWe are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, reporting to the Controller. This role manages a small team of direct reports and is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely financial operations across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger.The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, a hands-on leadership style, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, general ledger, and financial reportingManage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare and analyze balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reportsReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisOversee accounts receivable collections and ensure timely vendor payment to optimize cash flowCalculate and file sales tax returns and other tax filings for U.S. and international entitiesManage fixed assets, depreciation, and M&A purchase asset reportingServe as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure SOX complianceDevelop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsManage accounting platforms including NetSuite, D365, Avalara, Ramp, Versapay, and QuickBooksSupervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting team members; assist with budgeting and forecastingBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred7+ years of accounting experience with in-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsStrong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skillsExperience managing accounting software platforms; NetSuite and/or D365 experience a plusHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPrivate Equity background is a plusWhy Join OpenTech?At OpenTech Alliance, you’ll take ownership of a critical finance function at a growing SaaS and hardware company.
