Overview Primary Care Physician – Orange, CT Location: 325 Boston Post Road, Orange, CT Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, very light call Scheduled Hours: 40; 36 clinical, 4 administrative Position Type: Full‑time, employee EMR System: EPIC We are part of Yale New Haven Health System. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Involve patients and their families in care and treatment decisions. Create treatment plans and complete orders in patients' charts. Collaborate with staff, physicians, and management to improve care delivery and service. Initiate appropriate specialty referrals. Provide clear and timely clinical information to the interdisciplinary team. Ensure patient documentation is timely, accurate, and complete. Work with practice management to ensure compliance with billing, coding, and CPT code assignment. Achieve and maintain optimal patient access. Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested. Participate in development of medical protocols, standard procedures, and management activities. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) with a board‑recognized internal medicine or family medicine residency (minimum three years). Licensure Valid American Board certification in either internal medicine or family medicine. Unrestricted Connecticut medical license. BLS certification.
