Position Details Position Type: Technical Writer Location: Frazeysburg, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm Pay: $19.00/hr Company Overview Ridge Corporation was founded in 2004 and operates facilities in both Pataskala and Frazeysburg, Ohio. We employ approximately 220 team members across multiple shifts and manufacture advanced composite products primarily for the trucking industry, as well as marine and recreational vehicle markets. Job Summary The Technical Writer is responsible for creating procedures for end users. The Technical Writer must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Compose and edit technical documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment and facility use and materials for training. Manage change request process when needed to introduce new procedures or update existing documentation and SOPs to support product launches. Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements. Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides. Create tutorials and implement training in order to help end-users use a variety of applications. Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. Create and maintain the information architecture.
