Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual therapy to adult clients in an outpatient pain management clinic, utilizing techniques that are evidence-based and tailored to each client's needs.

• Conduct weekly psychoeducational classes designed to equip clients with coping strategies and tools for managing their psychological responses to chronic pain.
\n
• Engage in brief individual therapy sessions aimed at evaluating the progress of clients in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP).
\n
• Perform thorough assessments and create comprehensive treatment plans that address both mental health needs and the specific challenges associated with chronic pain.
\n
• Deliver clinical care guided by the latest best practices in pain psychology, ensuring a supportive and therapeutic environment for clients.
\n
• Make appropriate referrals to other treatment modalities available within the clinic when necessary.
\n
• Maintain detailed documentation of all client interactions and treatment progress using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

• Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in clinical practice, fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults who have sustained work-related injuries and are experiencing a variety of psychological symptoms, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain. Many clients face significant emotional challenges as they navigate their recovery, requiring a clinician who can provide empathetic and effective support through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

• An active California license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.

• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in the mental health field, with expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-oriented interventions.

• Proven experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with chronic pain conditions, with an understanding of the complexities involved in co-morbid psychological and physical issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively establish rapport with a diverse range of clients, including their families and interdisciplinary teams.

• Sound judgment and the ability to provide supportive, evidence-based care in a clinical setting.
