Accounting & Payroll SpecialistLocation: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $30.50/hour (Depending on Experience) Shift: 1st ShiftAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, accounting activities, and employee-related functions in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing payroll and accounting responsibilities accurately and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, 401(k), garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.Process weekly payroll for office and field employees.Provide assistance to Human Resources as needed.Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.File payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end, including processing W-2s.Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Provide support to the Accounting Department.Download and upload data files weekly for health and dental insurance.Process company credit card transactions.QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Accounting or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of related experience.Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
