Accounting Assistant

Position Overview

Macarollin is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial administration across our food service, catering, and business operations. This position is designed for an organized accounting professional who is comfortable working with invoices, payment records, account information, spreadsheets, and routine financial documentation.

The Accounting Assistant will help maintain accurate financial records, support billing and accounts payable activities, reconcile transactions, organize documentation, and assist with reporting. The successful candidate should be comfortable handling confidential information, working independently, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly with internal team members and external vendors or business contacts.

This is a practical accounting support role suited to someone with experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, billing, or general office accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recording and organizing daily financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.

• Support accounts payable processes by reviewing invoices, verifying supporting information, and maintaining organized vendor records.

• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including payment tracking, account updates, and basic customer account reconciliation.

• Reconcile transaction records, deposits, invoices, and other financial information while identifying discrepancies for review.

• Maintain accurate digital accounting files and ensure financial documentation is properly organized and accessible.

• Assist with tracking catering, event, vendor, and business-related invoices and payments.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, or a related administrative function.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers and financial records.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
  
  Preferred Skills

  Experience with QuickBooks, accounting software, POS systems, invoicing platforms, payroll systems, or customer account databases is preferred. Candidates with a background in bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or business administration are encouraged to apply.
