Seeking a Multifamily Business Development Manager responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing new Property Management Agreements (PMAs). This role blends high level business development, financial analysis, executive communication, and contract negotiation within the multifamily industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, engage, and secure new third party management client opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with institutional and private ownership groups
Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and trade associations
Develop and deliver executive level proposals and presentations
Analyze and discuss NOI, IRR, cap rates, operating margins, lease up strategies, budgeting, and balance sheet performance
Evaluate property financials and present strategic operating plans to ownership groups and asset managers
Lead negotiations for PMAs including management fee structures, lease up fees, construction oversight fees, and performance incentives
Collaborate with executive leadership and legal teams to finalize agreements
Support insurance and risk related discussions with ownership groups and brokers
Partner with operations and regional leadership during onboarding and transition planning
Build long term relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, developers, and property owners
Qualifications:
10+ years of multifamily experience in business development, operations, asset management, or related background
Experience working with institutional investors or large portfolio owners preferred
Strong background negotiating contracts or service agreements
Strong financial acumen and ability to present property performance metrics
Proven ability to develop relationships and close new business
Excellent presentation and executive communication skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to travel as needed
