Role Description The Part Time Assistant Manager at J.Crew Factory in Brick, NJ is an on‑site role responsible for supporting daily store operations and delivering an excellent in‑store experience. This position assists in leading the sales floor, coaching team members, and ensuring that customers receive attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The Assistant Manager helps oversee visual merchandising, maintains store standards, and supports opening and closing procedures. Day‑to‑day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating stock placement, assisting with promotional setups, and resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. This part time role also collaborates with store leadership to drive sales, uphold brand guidelines, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment. Qualifications Customer‑facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build rapport and address customer needs professionally. Inventory‑related skills, including Inventory Control and Inventory Management, with experience maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting product flow. Experience with Service Parts or back‑of‑house processes, supporting efficient handling, organization, and replenishment of merchandise. Previous retail or supervisory experience in apparel or related industries is preferred. Strong communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise as needed, and work a flexible part‑time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
