This includes the design, prototyping and qualification of new products. The Project Engineer will lead a team of engineers and other professionals to ensure timely completion and high-quality execution of the technical aspects of a project.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the technical aspects of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelineProvide technical expertise and guidance to project team membersIdentify and mitigate technical project risks, ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed quality standardsCoordinate with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders as needed to ensure project successCollaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issuesEnsure all project documentation is accurate and up to dateLead and execute prototype and sample buildsCreate and maintain project documentation, including drawings, models, and specificationsReviewing and editing technical drawings for accuracy and completenessAdditional technical processes and documentation responsibilities include:Design FMEACreating and Managing Project Test PlansCreating and Reviewing Test ReportsWrite and Create Specifications and Proof of Compliance DocumentsCreating and Managing Prototype Control PlansCreating and Managing New Product Development Bill of MaterialsCreating and Managing Engineering Change OrdersKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field0 - 5+ years of experience in project engineering or a related fieldFamiliarity with CAD design, ERP systems, and motion control principlesExperience using MS SuiteStrong communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesCompetency in Creo or other CAD softwareTravelBoth Domestic and International Travel up to 10%LanguagesEnglish requiredEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
