Logistics Coordinator

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Coordinator to work alongside our Logistics Director. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the industry, and be able to deliver communication to other department heads. As the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations set by the Logistics Director, managing staff communication, and ensuring compliance with transportation safety via portals, mitigating daily problems that arise from independent contractors, and upholding standards without compromising business.

Duties Oversee staffing, training, and development of team members. Ensure compliance with safety regulations Supervise daily operations, including shift management, to ensure smooth service Develop strategies for improving operational efficiency Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, motivation, and professional growth. Ensure communications from the Logistics Director are sent to other department heads and our accounts. Manage Excel sheets and respond to emails Requirements Strong knowledge of DOT safety practices and regulations. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Proficiency in budget procedures and financial management. Ability to work flexible hours in office and be willing to take calls at home during evenings and weekends, as needed. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff and customers alike. A commitment to training and development for team members to enhance their skills and career progression. Shift Monday to Friday 40 to 45 hours a week Be available to take calls after business hours (after 5:00 pm) and on weekends as needed.
