## Director, Global Talent ManagementApplyremote type: Flexiblelocations: Los Angeles, California, United States of Americatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: August 24, 2026 (17 days left to apply)job requisition id: R-801545We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 24 Aug 2026At MiniMed, you can begin a lifelong career of exploration and innovation, while helping make a difference in the lives of people living with diabetes around the globe. You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.# **About the Role**About MiniMed MiniMed is an insulin delivery company advancing automated therapy for people with diabetes, today and tomorrow. Our mission is to make every day a better day for people with diabetes. Everyone in this space claims they’re taking on diabetes. It’s true for all of us, but it’s just table stakes. What you should expect from MiniMed is the drive of a startup with the resourcing of a public one. Small enough to make an impact internally but serious enough to play a role in care for millions of customers. And we’re adding to our world class team. Interested? Read on. Role Overview MiniMed is newly public and building its talent function largely from scratch. The Director of Global Talent Management owns that build end to end — performance management, career frameworks, learning, talent pipeline, and organizational effectiveness — across every function in the company, not one client group. This role reports directly to the CHRO and leads a small team, with regular exposure to the CEO and ELT on talent reviews and succession. It’s built for someone who wants to design systems that don’t exist yet, not administer ones that already do. It requires real business acumen — the ability to translate people strategy into outcomes the CEO and CHRO will act on — plus the comfort of operating in a fast-paced, newly independent company where the playbook is still being written. This is a hybrid role based in Northridge, California, with an onsite expectation of 3 days per week**Key Responsibilities****Talent Management:** Run the executive talent review cadence across every function — not a calendar exercise, but the forcing function that keeps leaders honest about how we get work done, the fuel behind our mission, who’s ready for more, who’s stalled, and who may be a flight risk. Turn what you find into succession plans we trust, not an org chart with names penciled in.**Career Development & Learning**: Build MiniMed’s career framework from scratch — a self-service model that gives employees real ownership of their own development, backed by an IDP framework and toolkits managers will use. Own the L&D strategy end to end: evaluate vendors, choose the platform, and call the trade-off between building and buying.**Talent Pipeline**: Stand up MiniMed’s early-career strategy — rotational and graduate programs — as a pipeline for the talent the company will need in three years, not just headcount for today. Build the long-term pipeline plan now, while there’s still room to shape it.**Performance Management:** Own the global performance management framework and keep evolving it — this isn’t a set-and-forget system. Build the tools and materials that make honest, feedback-first conversations the default, not the exception managers dread, using platforms and technology that make the experience feel seamless rather than administrative.**Organizational Effectiveness:** Partner with business leaders and HRBPs on onboarding, org design, and workforce planning — and be the one who spots the structural or capability gap before it becomes a leadership team’s problem.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on talent management, organizational development, or related disciplines* Or, advanced degree and 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on talent management, organizational development, or related disciplines* 7+ years of managerial experience**Preferred*** Master's degree or MBA* Experience supporting a company through an IPO or major organizational transition* Strong business acumen with the ability to translate people strategy into business outcomes* Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, or newly independent company environment* Demonstrated experience designing and implementing performance management, career development, and learning programs at scale* Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills* Proficiency with HR technologies and the use of AI in talent and learning* Global HR experience across multiple geographiesThese six things are true about working at MiniMed. They are not aspirations on a poster — they are our Ways of Working, lived every day.* **We are obsessed with one person.** We start with one person, and work backwards to make their experience simpler. We advocate for them in every layer and detail of the business. The human wearing our devices.* **You will own it. Fast**. Real decisions, real stakes, early. We trust capable people and get out of their way but support them along the way. The person closest to the problem is the person who solves it, and more often than you expect that person is you. We will back you every step of the way.* **Small teams.** Real authority. No bureaucracy to hide behind and none to slow you down. We are intentional and move quickly. If that sounds like pressure, this may be the wrong place. If it sounds like freedom, welcome home. You will get to see your fingerprints on what we ship.* **Straight talk; high bar.** We raise the standards on products, services, and processes. Our “do” equals our “say.” The feedback here is honest so we can enable everyone to do their best every day.* **We are courageous, together.** Think big, start small, move fast. Speak up even when it is uncomfortable, and challenge ideas and decisions respectfully. We debate deeply but once a decision is made, we are all in as one team. Your voice counts here, and disagreement is safe even if you may feel it’s uncomfortable.* **The best idea wins.** Not the loudest voice or the most senior title, the best idea, wherever it comes from. We have strong opinions, held loosely, molded by evidence. We seek out perspectives from inside and outside to keep inventing for our customers.Independence changes everything. It sharpens our focus and clarifies who owns what. It lets us move at the pace this moment demands — the discipline of a public company with the drive of a startup. Automated Insulin Delivery is becoming the standard of care, clinical guidelines are shifting, and adoption is accelerating.**Builders, problem-solvers, and people who want work that matters.**We are engineers and clinicians. Software developers and regulatory experts. Commercial leaders, finance and HR partners and data scientists. Some of us have lived with diabetes ourselves; others were drawn here by the mission. We come from medtech, from tech, from pharma — from places where we learned to build, scale, and solve hard problems. What we share is not a background. It is how we think. We are not here to maintain; we are here to build. To lean into a challenge. People who know how to do a lot with a little — and who find that energizing.**If this work calls to you, MiniMed is for you.**MiniMed is for people who thrive under pressure, love a real challenge, and want to help shape what comes next. If you want meaningful work, the freedom to own outcomes, the chance to grow faster than you thought possible, and the kind of impact you will still be proud of in ten years — this is where you belong.**We are MiniMed.***We unlock freedom by making better days an everyday reality.***Join us. Better days. Every day.**# **Physical Job Requirements**The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
