Employment Type Part time Shift Day Shift What You Will Do While working in Pre‑Admission testing, you will work with patients in their pre‑surgical experience prior to the day of surgery. Responsibilities include patient assessment, coordination of needed services prior to surgery, pre‑op teaching for all types of surgery, medical review of charts, and resolution of any diagnostic test issues. You will interface daily with physicians, their office staff, and the anesthesia department. St. Peter's 13 surgical services include General, Thoracic, Cardiac, Genito‑Urinary, Pediatric, Maxillofacial, Orthopedic, Plastic, Neurological, Anesthesia, Gynecological, Otolaryngological, Ophthalmological, and Vascular procedures. Position Highlights The role supports comprehensive orientation developed by clinical nurse specialists, on‑site BLS classes, and ongoing clinical education. The staff participates in quality improvement activities, program development, recognition activities, and team building. A clinical ladder program offers professional growth through mentoring, leadership opportunities, and generous educational funding. Minimum Requirements Current NYS RN license ASN or BSN preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care nursing; 3 years of Med/Surg experience preferred Pay Range $40.00 – $53.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary within the stated range based on location.
