Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum). - Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass. - MS/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry) - Telemetry monitoring - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Feeding tube care and management - Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral line care/management - PICC line management - Nasal cannula administration

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Heme/Onc experience is strongly preferred.

Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any Ohio State University facilities.

Unit Details: - BMT (14 & 15W James) oncology; mixed acuity PCU and MS unit. - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Patient diagnoses include acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (adult), amyloidosis, aplastic anemia, chronic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic myeloid (myelogenous) leukemia, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative disorders, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. - Autologous transplants: patients receive their own stem cells. - Syngeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their identical twin. - Allogeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor. - CAR-T therapy.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.
