Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements specifically covering Pre-K age groups
• Background in Early Childhood and Special Education, with experience serving young learners who have varying abilities
• Patience, understanding, and adaptability to work with non-verbal or low-verbal students exhibiting behavioral challenges
• Knowledge of toilet training, diapering, and assistive feeding best practices for young children
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction supporting IEP goals for Pre-K children with diverse developmental profiles
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including toileting and feeding
• Cultivate an inclusive classroom atmosphere that prioritizes safety, engagement, and social-emotional wellness
• Implement positive behavioral supports and effective classroom management strategies
• Coordinate closely with support staff, therapists, and families to meet each child’s unique needs
