Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners with diverse needs in an inclusion-based elementary school environment. This full-time position centers on a small caseload of approximately 8-10 students, primarily in 1st and 2nd grade, with some Kindergarteners. You’ll play a key role in guiding students with Autism, significant developmental delays, speech/language challenges, self-regulation difficulties, and various learning disabilities.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with general education teachers to support inclusion, designing and implementing IEPs, maintaining thorough and compliant documentation, participating in team meetings, and providing supervision for a student with a toileting goal (no diapering required). You’ll also foster supportive relationships with families and contribute to a nurturing classroom culture.

Qualifications we’re seeking:

• Current GaPSC Teaching License with P-12 SPED endorsement
• Dyslexia endorsement
• Experience or strong interest in working with PreK-2nd grade students with special needs
• Understanding of inclusion models and ability to differentiate instruction
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and IEP development
• Compassion, patience, and a proactive approach to behavioral guidance

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction within an inclusion setting
• Develop and track student progress towards IEP goals
• Implement behavioral strategies and support self-regulation
• Supervise and assist as needed during toileting routines
• Partner with instructional teams, therapists, and families
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
